apple-cake

Ingredients:

3 cups flour
1/3 cup orange juice
5 eggs
2 1/2 cups sugar
1/2-teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1-cup oil
2 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
8 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease and flour a tube pan.

With electric mixer on low, combine first 8 ingredients until well blended.

Mix sliced apples with cinnamon and sugar. In tube pan, layer batter, apples, (about 3 times ending with batter).

Bake approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Remove from pan when cool.
